Caitlin Buchel, RSLP, MClSc, SLP(C) is the Executive Director of Communication Access to Justice (CAJust). Prior to launching CAJust, Caitlin worked for years with the leadership Communication Disabilities Access Canada (CDAC) to deliver Communication Intermediary (CI) training to speech-language pathologists across Canada. She looks forward to the new chapter in Canadian CI training, education, and information sharing that the launch of CAJust will bring.

In addition to her work as the Executive Director of CAJust, Caitlin regularly acts as a CI and also operates a private speech-language pathology practice Buchel Speech & Language Group in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

Alan Libman is a practicing Criminal Defence Lawyer. Throughout his career he has placed a strong emphasis on expanding access to justice for all participants in the legal system.

Laurel Robinson is a Speech-Language Pathologist, working in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with children and young adults in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to completing her Masters, she studied and graduated from a two-year American Sign Language – English Interpreter Program.

Laurel is a board member of the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) Canadian Executive as well as a planning committee member of the Breaking the Ice Conference; a consumer-focused conference for people who use AAC. She has presented on her provincially and nationally; guest lectured at the University of Toronto Speech-Language Pathology (S-LP) Department and the Department of Communication Disorders; and holds a Status-Only appointment with the University of Toronto

Darlene Goertzen is currently the Director of Finance for The Dufresne Group. She began her career with KPMG where she obtained her CPA, CA designation. She has since held several finance leadership roles with both public and private companies.
